What We Will Explore Together
Twelve sessions designed to give you practical, evidence-based strategies you can use immediately. Each month builds on the last, creating deep, sustainable change across your entire service.
Session 1: Reflexes and Core Strength
Identify unintegrated reflexes holding children back. Understand why some children literally cannot sit still and integrate simple 5-minute activities into your daily routines.
Session 2: Vestibular and Proprioception
Discover why today's children crave spinning, crashing, and heavy work. Learn strategic sensory input for your daily rhythm and how to talk confidently with families about screen time.
Session 3: Play Schemas
Transform destructive play into learning opportunities. Understand the 8 play schemas to create environments that reduce behaviour issues whilst supporting brain development.
Session 4: The Vagus Nerve and Co-Regulation
Master co-regulation strategies that actually work. Learn why your regulation directly affects children's behaviour and discover vagus nerve activities disguised as play.
Session 5: Building Play Skills
Guide children from wandering and disengagement to collaborative, imaginative play. Learn when to step in, when to step back, and how to build genuine play stamina.
Session 6: Resilience and Theory of Mind
Develop children's empathy and perspective-taking through intentional play. Use growth mindset language that works and help families embrace healthy struggle.
Session 7: Sensory Processing
Understand how children's sensory systems work and create sensory-rich environments that support all learners.
Session 8: Executive Function
Build skills in planning, organisation, impulse control, and working memory through play and daily routines.
Session 9: Emotional Regulation
Deep dive into the neuroscience of emotion and practical strategies for supporting children through big feelings.
Session 10: Neuroplasticity and Growth Mindset
Harness the brain's ability to change and help children develop resilience through challenge and learning.
Session 11: Fine Motor Skills
Embed fine motor development into your daily routines and support children who are struggling with pencil control and manipulation tasks.
Session 12: Risky Play and Outdoor Learning
Create brave, resilient learners through intentional outdoor play and managed risk-taking.
