Teen Programs (12-17 Years)

Real connection in a digital world.

Being a teenager today is hard work. Between the pressure of social media, the demands of school, and the complexity of friendships, it’s easy to retreat behind a screen.

Our teen programs are a "phone-free zone" designed to be a relief from that pressure. We provide a safe, structured space where teens can hang out, use their hands, and actually look at each other while talking. There is no pressure to "perform" socially. Just come as you are, join in the activity, and let the connection happen naturally.

You do not need an NDIS plan to join these groups. However we can tailor our teen programs to suit your child's NDIS goals so you can access their funding.

All teens are welcome.

Option 1: The Board Game Club

Best for: Teens who love gaming, strategy, or who find open conversation awkward and prefer a structured activity.

We are bringing back the art of face-to-face gaming. Board games are the perfect social bridge—they provide a shared focus, clear rules, and plenty of opportunities for laughter. From intense strategy games to quick-fire card games, we challenge teens to think critically, negotiate, and handle the "thrill of the win" (and the sting of the loss) in real life.

  • The Rule: No phones at the table.

  • Focus: Strategic thinking, impulse control, social negotiation, and camaraderie.

Option 2: Connect & Craft

Best for: Teens who enjoy being creative, or who find it easier to chat when their hands are busy.

There is something powerful about making things. This group is a chill-out zone where teens can paint, sculpt, bead, or build. The magic of crafting is that it lowers the demand for constant eye contact, making it much easier for anxious teens to open up and chat while they work. It’s not about creating a masterpiece; it’s about the process and the people.

  • The Rule: No phones, just creativity.

  • Focus: Self-expression, fine motor skills, stress relief, and "side-by-side" socialising.
