Robyn Papworth Complex Case Round Table Brainstorming

Complex Case Round Tables

Collaborative problem-solving sessions for educators working with children who have complex developmental or behavioural needs.

A Collaborative Approach to Complex Developmental Challenges

Our Complex Case Round Tables provide a structured, supportive environment for educators to work through challenging cases with expert guidance and peer collaboration. Unlike traditional professional development, these sessions focus on applying developmental principles to specific children and situations, resulting in individualised support plans.

How Round Tables Work

Small Group Format

Small groups of 5-8 educators meet with our developmental specialist in a confidential, supportive environment. This intimate setting ensures each participant receives focused attention while benefiting from diverse perspectives.

Case Presentation

Participants bring real-life case scenarios from their practice, presenting the child's profile, current challenges, and interventions attempted. A structured template guides this presentation to ensure comprehensive information.

Collaborative Problem-Solving

Using a structured process facilitated by our developmental specialist, the group explores the case through developmental, sensory, and regulatory lenses. This multi-perspective approach often reveals insights not visible when working in isolation.

Strategy Development

The group collectively generates practical strategies based on developmental principles, with our specialist ensuring all approaches are evidence-based and developmentally appropriate for the specific child's needs.

Action Planning

Each participant leaves with a concrete action plan for their case, including specific strategies, implementation steps, and monitoring considerations. Follow-up support ensures educators feel confident implementing these approaches.
